WyomingLeases.com is a searchable database of competitive Federal and State Oil & Gas Leases. Parcel listings for upcoming lease sale auctions, past listings/results, and auction statistics can be quickly and easily retrieved. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) currently holds quarterly lease auctions for federal oil & gas leases. The Wyoming Office of State Lands & Investments currently holds auctions three times a year for state oil & gas leases. Both the Federal and State lease sale auctions are now internet-based using the site EnergyNet.com

About the Search Form Page

The Search Form page provides you with a flexible and easy-to-use form to define your custom search query. Search by township, range, winning bid, bonus, and/or acres.

Search Form

For Federal parcels also search by section, serial number, and offer pending. For State parcels also search by lease number and parcels subject to 12.5% royalty rate.

The Results of your search are displayed as a table and also as a Graph of winning bids.

Results Table

The above results table displays the search results of the December 1992 Federal sale for winning bid amounts greater than $100/acre. The description of any parcel can be viewed by clicking the parcel number link. As indicated by the gray shaded Bonus column, the user chose to sort the results on descending total bonus amount.

Following each table of search results is a Graph of winning bid amounts ($/acre). The winning bid values are sorted from high to low before they are graphed. The graph provides a quick way to analyze the winning bids for your searched results.

About the Sale's Statistics Page

Stat list

The Sale's Statistics page provides basic statistics for an individual sale. The first table lists the number of parcels sold, those receiving no bids, and those deleted, along with corresponding acreage totals.

Following this table the total sale bonus, total acres sold, and average bid is shown. The the overall high bid amount and highest bonus paid are shown and the parcel descriptions can be viewed by clicking the parcel number link.

Stat Graph

For Federal sales also available with one click is a table listing of parcels with offer pending, no bid received, and deleted. For State sales a listing of parcels which were nominated, received no bid, or were withdrawn is available with one click.

Next is a graph showing the winning bid bonus ($/acre) for every parcel sold at the sale. The bids are sorted from high to low.

Stat High Bid

This table lists the parcels with the top ten highest bids ($/acre). Clicking on the parcel number will display detailed parcel information.

This table lists the parcels with the top ten highest bonus amounts. Clicking on the parcel number will display detailed parcel information.

Stat Bidder

The Winning Bidder Summary table lists all successful bidders for that sale. Shown for each bidder is the number of parcels won, total bonus, total acres, and average bid. This table can be sorted on any column. Clicking on the Bidder Name link will display a table with individual parcels for that bidder.

Stat Cnty

The Summary by County table lists all counties with parcels offered for that sale. Clicking on the County Name link will display a table with individual parcels for that county. This table can be sorted on any column.

About the Parcel Description Page

Parcel Description

The Parcel Description page shows the parcel's land description as listed in the lease sale notice: Township, Range, Section and land description, Acres, County, and Offer Pending (Federal only).

Sale results are also shown: Winning Bidder, Bid Amount, Total Bonus, and Serial Number (Lease number for State sales).

For Federal parcels receiving no bids, the Bidder is listed as 'No Bidder'. For a parcel which has been deleted, the bidder is listed as 'Deleted'. For State sale the terms 'No Bid' and 'Withdrawn' are employed.

For State sales a parcel with a township that has been resurveyed is noted and parcels with a 12.5% royalty rate are indicated. Finally, for State sales a link to the stipulation covering the parcel is included.
